Hi all, yes I'm here on Christmas day.....the first time I've had any time to myself for a while!!
My question is, does anyone know if there is a comapny that produces or is planning to produce a 1:35 scale Cougar/Mastiff.
I know this is a relatively new vehicle, but I was hoping there may be something available! If not I'll just have to get the tape measure out & have a bash at scratch building!!!

Howard,
I could see myself being drawn to the dark side with this one ... as a 6x6 in 1/24th scale using any of the available drive trains, possibly Peterbilt or Freightliner (American Mercedes).
Wheels and Tyres should be available from Kit Form Services, the bodywork would have to scratchbuilt ... but what a model when it's finished?

Soon you will have completed your journey to the Dark Side of the modelling bench my young apprentice... I got the fright of the month a while ago when I was hounded on a country road by someone with a Dodge Ram - Imagine one of those in your rear view mirror

Thanks guys I'll take a look at the AA site. The official British Army name is Mastiff as it was decided Cougar was too American. How do I know this........I'm fortunate enough to have first hand knowledge of the vehicle as I'm a design engineer working on the MOD upgrades & we have 3 of the wee beasties parked in the workshop outside my office!!! ;D ;D I just need to get permission to take a load of photos so I can do a bit of super detailing!!

Obviously any info/photos I do get will be made available to anyone who needs them.
The only thing I won't be able to provide details of is the laminate armour as it's classified. Having said that the vehicle we showed to the press had armour panels made from Plywood as we hadn't recieved the proper panels, so we went to B & Q & made our own!!! ;D ;D
