Great call here Ian. I had several minicraft and the like drills etc which all wore out. Not all of the wear could be attributed to use as they also received an amount of abuse as well. About ten years ago I got my current Proxxon drill and it is still going strong under a similar regeme. Since then I have almost completely re-equiped my both my model and farm workshops with Proxxon tools and not regretted the decision ever.
For my money they are fine tools in the best Austrian tradition.

Nice tools. I have a Proxxon miniature machine vice and also their Ball Swivel vice, and both are really well made tools. They do a nice little boxed set of miniature router tools that I bought to use with my Dremel. they are very well made and a lot less expensive than Dremel's own. This little set is aimed I think at the Dolls House maker, so it has a nice lot of shaped routers to use.
