Has anyone built this kit? ... Is it accurate? I was given the kit several years ago and I wanted to build it as a Russian armour piece in winter camo. However, looking through my references, there are several inaccuracies with the kit which lead me to believe that the kit is based on a tank used by a country other than Russia.

Nick, ABOUT FREAKING TIME!!!!! ;D Will it be done in a couple of months? Cheers! Don Well, what's the weather like in Chicago? Ayup Don, there are a few issues with the kit, apparently it was based on an example from Bovington which looks nothing like some of the other examples I've seen, so, to do it justice I need a spot more reference material. As to the question about if it will be finished for SMW, erm! ... doubt it. Edit ... Incidentally Don, did you know this kit has now been re-released?

The weather is OUTSTANDING...well maybe a little too warm...but we know how cold the winters are so there will be no complaining. Yes I heard it was based on the Bovington example but where else could they see one...Egypt, Syria , Jordan ...at the time it was probably the only one that could be measured but on the other hand there was probably one here in the States at Aberdeen. Yes I saw the re-release. I also saw the Chieftain too. Good for those, like you, who build in that scale. Well not too much longer until SMW eh! Looking forward to it. ;D Already getting my list together... . So when are we going to get a chance to Skype again??? All the Best! Don

Whilst on holiday here in the Wye Valley, we had a walk into Ross on Wye yesterday and the local W.H. Smith was open. I was looking in a couple of the military magazines and found a photograph of a recent Moscow military parade and a pristine SU-100 was shown and it looks exactly like the Tamiya example. Good enough for me, it'll be done as is, well ... maybe with a little damage and a covering of winter camo?
