Hi all, I am joining a couple of mates, doing three Mosquitos that flew in Operation Jericho, the Amiens Prison mission. I am doing DZ414 thanks to the amazing operational record she built up throughout her service. We are using Tamiya 1/48 scale Mossie kits, Marks as needed; this one is a Mk IV bomber. Attached is a photo from the internet that claims to be from that mission. Since one can see the rear belly of the aircraft in the picture including part of the tail wheel, I do think this is my plane. But- how was this picture taken? It looks like a rear and downward-pointed post-strike camera (still or movie, i.e., cine). So what does the installation look like? Second, DZ414 carried a movie camera in the nose, and I want to show that in the model as well. Does anyone know what that camera looked like, let alone how it was mounted in the airframe? Finally, I have some still pictures taken from the short film that shows at least some footage from the mission. This includes a shot of the scoreboard on the nose, although it's not very good. Does anyone have a good picture of the scoreboard? And do you know how many sorties the aircraft would have completed by the time of the mission? Thanks in advance, Jim Attachments:

Hi all,
In talking with my mate, I now think this picture may be one from a cine camera mounted on one of the other a/c, likely the mission lead (looks like the one explosion is next to a wall, not the block houses). Does anyone know anything about this? It seems to me that this would have to be taken from a camera in a blister slung underneath the aircraft, or perhaps bolted to the inside of one of the bomb bay doors. Man, I'd really like to know more about how this film/picture came about!
Thanks, Jim
