By chance I found a reference to a Vampire T55 trainer converted to a camera-equipped 'PR55' by the Indian Air Force. This was in 'Aeroplane' from November 2007. Apparently five T55s were converted, serials unknown, with oblique cameras in the nose above the wheel bay. No date was given. This is the main link that covers it: www.bharat-rakshak.com/IAF/Images/Vintage/Fighters/VampireT55/but with just one picture. Something to bemuse, perhaps? Colin, I'm sure you or the rest of the recce entusiasts can turn up something extra to enhance our knowledge. I know that one crashed, sadly fatally, but nowt else. Can anybody add to this? John
