Hello All,
Wondering about a structural detail of the carry through section / wing attachment on the Avro York.
Is there a cutaway drawing showing this section clearly enough ?
Actually my question is:
how was the modification/construction/adaption of the Lancaster wings to the broader fuselage or the York accomplished - the span obviously remained the same.
Bumped my head often enough on the cover paneling in my teens... cannot remember how the structure and spars looked inside.
Many thank in advance, Rolf

Many thanks Alfie.
Have been trolling the net - the Britmodeller link was new to me and may help too - many thanks.
ISBN from Internetmodeller article does no longer give acces due to old system, but will surely help in searching for the book if need be.
Was hoping somebody might be able to provide just a scan of relevant cutaway drawing detail.
Question has arisen due to friend of mine here in CH presently doing the CMR conversion - not vital for the build but of interest nevertheless (used to work on TMS Yorks in my teens ....)
See also pm.
Regards, Rolf

Hi Rolf I'll see what I can do with the cutaway scan. www.bookfinder.com came up with several available copies of the book mentioned in the review. Regards, Alfie
