Hi All, Not sure what you all you use for a glue on diorammas for groundcover/scatter etc but here is a mix which works fine dries clear as we know of course & is thin enough to seep down into the scatter to the base. I found it on a railway forum for use with ballast which is a pain to get right at times but this is excellent ......... You'll need a third equally of PVA neat, water & meths, mix it in this order as well otherwise the PVA & meths make a lovely mess unusable mix thoroughly between stages. When your secne is ready for glue give it a mist spray soaking with meths be careful with vechile etc paint finishes & keep the meths to the base materials alone .......... then add the glue mix with an eye dropper or syringe, the meths acts as a wick to allow the glue to reach the base ........ i have been asked if washing up liquid is needed with this method & the answers is no the meths soak works better. Hope this thread is in the right section

Hi upnick. Well I use similar method as you, but meths is not good as its very inflammable even though it evaporates. I have found just water and PVA make a very good base to work from and not so messy ether . Having built model railway layouts indoors and out plus Diorama's for my models, the above works well.
