If this is a "real" conversion, how come the Wiesel (3.55 metres long) needs an extra road wheel to match up to a Smart car body (2.5 metres long)? And how do you get in and out?
I think this is a product of Photoshop.

I drive the Smart on a regular basis working for a local Mercedes dealership and it's not impossible to enter the car from the rear hatch. If it's real, it could be fun to drive, if it's a Photoshop montage, it's still a nifty idea and worth thinking about to model.

Well, I'm still betting on Photoshop, the Wiesel 2 (the long wheel base version) is 4.2 metres long, yet the picture suggests that it's more or less the same length as a SMART car!
The Bundeswehr does have some camouflaged SMARTS (wheeled ones) for promotional purposes.
I take your point on the entry and egress, but looking at the photo, I don't know where the engine is supposed to be, it's up front in the Wiesel, under the rear of a SMART.

If you look carefully you will see that the rear has been extended quite a bit and the front has been slightly remodelled. While that is true, I don't think they can feasible virtually double the length of the SMART to fit. There are pictures here www.autobild.de/artikel/wiesel-2-san-typ-gegen-vw-sharan-tdi-37375.html of the Wiesel 2 next to a VW Sharan, which is a seven seater and much larger than a Smart Car. The photoshopping (?) works because the proportions, but not the dimensions, are similar. jch
