Hello to all, my name is Tom and i am from Nottingham and Ive been modeling Armour kits since i can remember, I'm mainly into the German Armour scene(not another one!) And i cant seem to stop buying them, much the wifes annoyance but its become a habit and a hobby that i cant or wont seem to stop! I prefer the German Armour scene mainly due to the abundance of kits that are available, but i also do enjoy doing Russian, American and our own Armour kits as well. Well thats about it, I'm a 47 yr old grand father who likes to relax doing my Armour kits, and i would like to say HI to all....

Welcome to the forum. I used to think that modelling armour was a bit of a dark art until I had a go, really enjoyed building a Sherman for a friend of mine. Currently building an original Tamiya large scale Su-100 (well, it's actually been on the go for about 5 years) also started building a late KV, that will probably be finished just in time for Beltring (War and Peace) in July, unless something else takes my fancy. I notice you enjoy building Russian armour, watch out for Ian Sadler, he's a bit of a Russian armour and softskin fan. You'll often find Ian and I demonstrating modelling technique at Modelzone in the Broadmarsh. Look forward to seeing some of your work here on the forum.

Hi Tom. Nice to have another military modeler on the scene . I build mostly Allied and Russian with a bit of Japanese Armour and soft skin vehicles. I do have some German Armour and Ac's which are displayed at exhibitions around the country. You might try and find a group near you that has meetings and does work nights so you can get idea's and meet others that have the same interests that you have. It works for us Cornish Scale modelers as we meet twice a week and have great fun also.
