Howdy,
I recently bought a trumpeter challenger 2 iraqi freedom model. on the front of the box it has a canvas rolled up and attatched around the sides and front of the tank, but it doesn't come with the model, the instructions say you can buy it seperatley, but i can not find anyone who can get it for me,
any help to would be great. Cheers Tank

... I had an awful feeling someone would say make it your self ... Actually, that is what I'm saying, but it's not hard to do. Take a length of tissue paper, cut it to the length you think suits your purpose, roll it up and coat with diluted PVA glue. Take a length of cotton and wrap it around the resultant sausage of tissue paper, set the tissue in the shape you wish it to set and let it dry. Paint to suit using coloured dye, acrylic paint or diluted weathering powder or pastel, set to the tank in the desired position. There you have it, basic scratch building and once you've had a go at something simple like this, you never know, you may get the bug and start to scratch build other bits and pieces. This is a fantastic hobby and it can be enhanced with your own efforts rather than have all the bits and pieces laid out for you. Go on, try it, you never know?

You can even use diluted acrylic paint too instead of diluted PVA glue. I've used this several times.
