Hi there, following the trend of introducing one's self here's my contribution.
My names John, I live in a village just north of Oxford and have been modelling for the best part of 50 years. I build cars mostly but do have a couple of Japanese aircraft carrier kits that I have promised myself I would finish 'one day'. Current projects that are holding my attention are the Airfix Bentley (32nd scale version, a challenge to say the least!), a Revell MGB Roadster (beautiful kit) and a Tamiya Sierra which is being built in Pro-street style.
I wouldn't class myself as a prolific poster but I do enjoy the banter that model forums tend to produce.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum! I do cars as well and you have some interesting projects going there - especially the pro-street.
What are you planning to use under the Sierra body? I'm doing a '32 Ford pro-street at the moment that I am currently semi-scratch building the chassis for.
Cheers,

Hi Jim.
The Sierra has been on the back burner for a while. Basically I bought the Tamiya Pumini Trampio(?) car at a boot sale in started condition. The chassis was pretty well built but badly painted, however the body-shell was un-touched. I had a Revell generic Pro-street kit and the chassis looked like it would fit under the Tamiya body without too much chopping about so away I went! I have opened the bonnet on the Sierra and made a start on the chassis but I am held up at the moment for a r/h drive dash. I firmly believe in having at least 3 projects on the go at any one time just to stop you getting bored!

Hi,
It sounds like your pro-street will be a good project. Put a post in the cars section when you get going with it again.
I agree with the idea of having more than one build on the go - sometimes a change is required, on other occasions waiting for paint to gas out or for parts to arrive mean things come to a halt so having something else to work on helps out. Just don't have too much going on because nothing ever gets finished then!
Cheers,
