The first issue of the new "Airfix ModelWorld" magazine is printed and ready for release - it will hit the newsagents on Thursday 4th November, and those who have jumped in with both feet and subscribed already are receiving their copies now.
I'm pleased to be able to announce that the publishers - Key Publishing, who are well known for being the publishers of Flypast, Air Forces Monthly, Airliner World and many more are launching the magazine officially at Scale ModelWorld.
They have also agreed to a discounted subscription rate for IPMS members which will save £5 from a single year subscription (down from £39.80 to £34.90) - and if you take advantage of this offer at Scale ModelWorld, they will throw in a copy of issue 1 (starting the sub with issue 2) and providing a free Airfix kit (probably the "then and now" Eurofighter/Spitfire combination kit), so as usual the best deal is to be had face to face at the event.
For anyone not attending or who wants to see a copy or two first before subscribing later, the best way to guarantee the discount is to call on their sales line on 01780 480404 (Mon - Fri, 9 - 5.30)
