Hi Guys. Does anyone know the correct shade of blue (Xtracolour, Humbrol or any readily available equivalent) for the Hispano Buchon? I recently acquired an old Pegasus kit that gives a Compucolour reference (Blue CG5), but I can't source Compucolour paints. Did they go out of business? Thanks.  |

Just been reading an article by Ted Taylor where he mentioned that Compucolour paints no longer exist.

Thanks John & Nick. Gives me a good place to start. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be many surviving examples in their original scheme. Most have been 'modified' to represent Me 109s. I even did a little bit of voluntary restoration work myself on 'Yellow 10' when she was at Breighton. Poor old girl had long been stripped of those awesome Hispano cannon fairings and associated lumps and bumps (sniff!). I have thought about buying A Model's Ha 1109 and seeing if I could glean any info from that (also gives me an excuse to add to my stash!). Anyhoo, thanks again.
