Well Hi My name is Darrell or Dimitri in Russian, I model 48Th and 32ND scale Aircraft prop and jet WWI to present with a few exceptions due to lack of interest. Mostly Hasagawa, Tamiya, Academy, Trump, Fujimi, Hobby Boss, Knitics, KP, Revell and a few Italari. I'm a nut for aftermarket so if it's out there I most likely have it for the build, I'm also not that fast and tend to buy more then I build! 500+ kits to be exact, the number of build is a closely guarded secret I joined as I find Modeling in Europe and the UK is still popular and compared to where I live for the most part better quality and more knowledgeable. Well if you took the time to read this thanks say hi and sorry you probably missed a build by doing so See you on the boards. Darrell

Welcome to the forum Darrell. So you buy more than you build eh? ... welcome to the club, although my purchasing has slowed down and my build rate has increased, I doubt I shall ever build everything in the stash. We're a friendly bunch on here and there's usually someone with an answer to most questions should you have any, and I look forward to your participation on the forum.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum. I'm half-Canadian and grew up in Canada (71 - 85) so I have a big soft spot for the country.
You're right about the model building scene being good here - one of the advantages is the size of the country making it possible to get to quite a few shows without travelling too far.
I build cars and trucks (admiring the Kenworths etc. got me into model building when I was living in New Brunswick in the 70s) and the scene here is better for aircraft or military modelling but, having said that, the civilian vehicle side has improved a lot in the last few years.
Hope you enjoy the forum!
Cheers,
