Hi. I've just acquired Sword's 1/72 Spitfire PR Mk IV Trop. I'm familiar with PRU Blue, but the instructions quote a 'Royal Blue' on two of the three colour schemes. Does anyone know of the FS or BS number of this colour? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dave.

BS381c-106 is Royal Blue.

I find this quite useful:

IPMS Stockholms Colour Charts shows FS15044 as an equivalent to BS381c-106. That would be with a gloss finish and FS35044 would be the same shade wth a matt finish.

Now Lifecolour describe FS35044 (LC35) as 'Matt French Blue' but they also do another shade FS35050 (LC34) 'Royal Blue', which is slightly lighter.

Personally, I would be tempted to go with the FS35050.
