I've had this kit in the stash for a couple of years ... ... I think I bought it the year the Newark show was held at the Newark show ground instead of Southwell. Anyway, enough of the preamble, seeing as though I'm waiting to stock up on plastic channel at the Yate show to finish the Ferret ipmsuk.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=afv&action=display&thread=9329&page=2 I thought that I'd make a start on this, pics later.

First pics as promised ... ... after just a couple of hours the chassis was built. This is a really enjoyable kit, there are a couple of parts which require careful handling as they're cut from the sprue but that's part of the challenge. I'll continue the build tomorrow and post a few more pics.

Nice lorry that nick. Was that not used by Armoured units, or do you have other plans.

It'll be built OOB, as intended as a weathering exercise.

I wanted this as a quick build, no scratch building or extra work, just something to enjoy. I'm at Yate on Sunday so I'll be looking for a bit of reference on the K5.

Here's the progress for today ... ... it's building up into reasonable sized model. The instructions, which are pictorial are a tad ambiguous in places, especially with the white metal parts. I'm getting to a stage where I need to think about paint and how I want to portray the vehicle. More soon!
