Minicraft PB-1W Conversion

Well I've been at it again! Here is my latest addition to my History of AEW collection in 1:144 scale . It is a conversion from the Minincraft B-17E. It's a nice little kit and quite accurate apart from alot of the transparancies aren't cut out, hence the black windows. The radome was scratch built from Tamiya putty, the dorsel, ball and chin turrets were all filled and faired over and the decals were cobbled together from the spares box. Gunze Sangyo paints (I love em) were used throughout except for AlcladII on the enginge gill flaps. Hope you like it.

Now that is a nice collection of nautical aviation, but why is there a dark green and dark earth cuckoo in the nest? Black undersides, too. A reluctant loan to Coastal command by AVM Harris?

Seriously, that looks very nice Ian.

Why is it that as I get older, the fingers less supple and the eyes weaker there is an increasing outbreak of really nice 1/144th kits?
Soon it will become an epidemic, but a bit too late for me to enjoy.
