OK - I'm stumped. This cartoon appears on a British (RAF Regt) Landrover in Afghanistan and I'm trying to work out what it is. This is the best image I can find so it's not easy to ID! It's not Wacky races or Banana Splits but it's a six-wheel buggy with a large (animal - dog, bear?) figure driving it. Answers on a postcard please! Regards, John

I'm inclined to go for the 'Banana Splits' buggy John ...

I'm reliably told that the vehicle is an ATMP (All Terrain Mobility Platform) driven by rockapes (RAF slang for RAF Regiment chaps - stalwart fellows every one of them!!). See the Gallery here www.supacat.com/products/defence/atmp/atmp-gallery/Nick - now don't get too excited over the fire engine version ;D Regards, Alfie

Cheers Alfie, I'll attempt to withold my excitement. I've seen one of these working at a heath fire, very impressive at the time. I still think the original cartoon is from the Banana Splits series!
