Well this is the hardest model I've had to build the off then on now off again Hook Loader is dead, I have finally settled on having just a plain Jane prime mover due to the fact that trying to build a hook loader out of cardstock is not a very no in fact it was a stupid idea and after several failed attempts to build one and wasting cardstock like it was going out of fashion I've settle on wot U can now see below. First of it was going to be an SAR with high rise sleeper BUT it doesn't look right and I wasn't going to chop down the chassis just to make it look right. So I've settle on this, a double sleeper type box hopefully this will look right in the end. The rig has a flatbed trailer that will be loaded 70's style and covered with canvas made from tissue paper, boy do I have plenty of that stuff after building the Red Baron. Ah yes the Red Baron wow is that another story. Dingo

Oh well here we go again I though this worked but it didn't so here's another go. My SAR Kenny B-Double. Hopefully? If U think the A-unit looks a bit odd that's because instead of building of expensive plastic stock I used elcheapo cardboard cut from a box I got from the local Fish takeaway shop. [/URL] Dingo

A great job Dingo. Building from cardboard must be a real nightmare.

Jim it is a real nightmare as you have to make sure that you don't bend the cardboard while cutting it and cardboard is real easy to bend as it doesn't have much strenght in it once it has been cut. More later on this model, building has come to a stand for a few days as it ahs started to rain and if I kknow our weather it won't stop til at least Tues or Wed. Dingo

Well the S.A.R. is coming along quite nicely now that I've made the deciding factor and built it as a prime mover and as it should be hey Guys & Gals. The rig is almost finished and is just witing for a small hinge so the bull bar ca be made to tilt so as the bonnet can tilt as well. In my wise choice of whether to put the V12 in or not I went with or not and stuck a Detroit V8 in coupled to a 18 speed Road Ranger. Here R a few photos to keep U all going. public.fotki.com/trucky217/big-rig-trucks/img-1947.htmlSorry about the gunner in the background and the Beretta badge as well. The next time I take a photo I'll make sure they aren't there. Building this rig again has come to a stand still due to rain and cold weather U see here the cold doesn't allow for the glue to dry properly I have fond and if U pt the heat side o the air conditioner on the humid warm air stops it as well, as for the rain well it doesn't d anything other than stop me from painting and I have plenty of that to do on models both trucks & cars in plastic and cardstock. Jim, I think U've miss understood wot I'm on about the S.A.R. itself is plastic and resin BUT the trailers for it R going to be cardstock. Heck I'm not that good at building a whole truck out of cardstock unless it is already printed off the internet and that is getting harder with our Government cracking down on webites that they think R rated to or have a conection to porn sites which in their eyes is all of them.
