Hi everybody,
This is a first time post from me! I've joined the forums a while ago, following on from SMW - but haven't got around to posting on here yet.
By means of an intro, my name is Chris, I'm 27 and live in Birmingham. I'm an active member of the Sutton Coldfield Modellers and for a living, I spend my life up in the sky with an airline out of Birmingham. I've been building models now on and off, for the last 4 years properly - although I've dabbled in and out in the past before then too!!! I've only really taken the hobby seriously since I started the job, as I find myself with a lot of spare time back home!!
So here's my first build for this forum...
Well following on from the delays in getting this finished, I'm just about there now. One or two small things left to do - for example, paint over the white glue for the cockpit glass but she's there now.
Hopefully, she'll be at Milton Keynes show next Sunday, but a lot depends on when I get back from my skiing holiday and how tired I am!!
So, it's the Fonderie Miniatures kit (a nightmare, never again!!), with the following add ons:
Masters Browning 303 Machine Guns
Vector Resin Hercules Engine
Ad-Astra Masks for the Squadron codes and manufacturers serial.
Custom decals from Perdu on here
Scratchbuilt interior
Scratchbuilt tail area following on from a bad glue reaction!
The build thread is here, so you can see all the trials and tribulations throughout the last few months:

A special thanks go to the following:
Perdu - for the decals
Ian at AdAstraMasks for helping me out with the squadron codes and the problems that I faced up to with decals falling apart
Troy Smith for the reference material
Honeybee (Paul) for the spare vacform canopy parts
And anyone else who contributed to the thread over the months it's been going for.
So without further ado... here's the original:
And here is the build. I'm sorry about the light on these pictures - they have been done in a little bit of a hurry actually, however, when I get back from holiday, I'll try and post some more:
Thank you very much for looking!!
Chris
