Hi Guys, well here is my next model, it will be in the black Thomas Sabo livery (the one with the watch on the roof), and built OOB, as the price of the Revell detail set does not justyfy the cost, will post updates as soon as i have something to show. Dave

Hi Dave I guess the world's your lobster in that regards?
However, just earlier tonight I used some of the Alclad matt and it went on beautifully to cover/tone down some chrome. At SMW they were promoting a range of different satins depending on what degree of shine you're looking for. I'll certainly be reviewing which one to use on my DTM Audi. Your could go down that route or buy or mix your own depending on your preferred medium or manufacturer?
Sorry not to be definative. Rich

Hi,
I'd second the Alclad satin cote having recently using it on my speedwagon (where it went over the kit decals plus some paint very nicely to give everything the same degree of sheen (there's a few pics of it on this forum if you want a look)). Its prethinned so you can just stick it in your airbrush and away you go.
They do different amounts of sheen so I guess you could also mix the two to get just what you want.
Check them out at hiroboy.com
Cheers,

Hi,
That's looking good. Make sure you give us an update once that satin varnish is on! It went over the Revell decals no problem on my Speedwagon (thanks for the comments by the way!) so I'm confident you'll be o.k. - have you got any spare decals from that set to check just to make sure? Wouldn't want to ruin the nice work you've done so far.
Cheers,
