I have a Fujimi FG1 kit that I am considering converting into an FGR2 as operated by 74Sqd in the very early 1990's (after they exchanged their F-4J's).
Can somebody clarify my thoughts as to the external differences between a FG1 and FGR2?
As far as I can see the only real difference was the slatted (?term) tailplanes on the FG1 that were smooth (?term) on the FGR2's.
Have I missed anything else that is glaringly obvious and would anybody like to swap me some tailplanes before I attack the ones I have with filler?
TIA
Brian

The other differences I know of were the nosewheel leg - which didn't have the double torque link and extra extending section used to increase the angle of attack for catapult launching - and the rear cockpit which had two side consoles. I'm sure there were detail differences in the cockpits in terms of instrumentation as well. I've probably got some unslatted tailplanes, I'll take a look, Ross
