Hi Guys, well im just ready to decal my Porsche 956, but always have trouble with clear coats, i have just bought this item as i know a lot of people have had good results, but on the tin it says not ot spray over decals, is this right, this is the main reason why i bought it, so i now dont know what to do, any help would be very much appreciated. i was in the same position as yourself, however i did a trial the other week, i found the softest modelling paint brush i could find, then applied future floor polish. i used it sparingly, but worked quickly, giving it a good coat, then left it. came back 10 min later, it had dried and you would not have known it had been brushed on. give it a go on some scrap plasticard and a scrap decal. sorry but don't know about mr decal clear, but my advice with any new product would be to give it a test on scrap first. if nothing else it will either wreck some rubbish or confirm its quality.

Do you airbrush it on? I used to use Johnson's Klear (floor polish).

Hi Lynx, no you use it straight from the can, use two mist coats to (very light) cover decals let it soak in for about an hour, then apply another mist coat wait fifeteen mins then apply three to four wet coats leaving about the same time between coats, sounds long winded i know but its the best finish i have ever had and if you apply it properly you dont need to sand, just polish. Hope this helps. Dave
