Now then, This is the Dragon Sherman III that i've been pottering with for a while now. This is the first kit i've done with this much brass in it, & i'm rather enjoying it I have a set of the Bison decals 'Shermans in Italy' that I will be using. I intend to finish it as 'Roosevelt' in light mud & blue-black. Comments welcome. Cheers, Steve

So Steve whats the kit(Sherman) like from dragon.
With all that brass on the Dragon kit, sounds interesting.
Not got into the Sherman 1/35 scale yet, though having two to build someday, have the Tasca Sherman III and a Firefly to build .

Not got into the Sherman 1/35 scale yet, though having two to build someday, have the Tasca Sherman III and a Firefly to build . Now then Foxy! The kit is going together really nice! This is the first 'new' Dragon kit i've done & i'm rather impressed by it. Instructions are, in the main clear and easy to follow (unlike the ones for my Bronco Staghound ) Lots of small fiddly bits, such as 10 brass bolts to put on the rear plate! Am going to tackle the running gear tonight, which i find a rather boring task, serves me right for building tanks tho I've not had a look at the Tasca kits but their M4A1 tweaks my interest, nearly bought one at Telford too! More to follow soon. Cheers, Steve PS Oi barv you tryin to hijack my thread or summat? ;D Lovelly job on that Maz! Makes me want one all the more

The casting texture looks great, i've a few of these new gen kits to build and you may just be forcing me to have a look Steve. Looking at a PZ iv ausf d, tried the revell 1/9 kubelwagen and given up for a while, the quality is dodgy to say the least. A nice build Steve looking forward to you finishing it in about 3 years.

Now then, Got the running gear done. Hell of a clean up job to do on each part! After about an hour and a bit i now have 6 lots of running gear. I've given up on the brass sand shields, too fiddly for my fat fingers to cope with, besides i have it on good authority that they didn't last too long in the field any how. (my excuse & i'm sticking to it ) Managed to get the front guards on tho, just The base that its sat on is a resin road section i've had for a while now, so its about time it got used! I may even keep the figure in the turret! (or get napoleon to paint me a new one ;D) Next up will be painting the beast, in about 3 years or so i should reakon! Cheers, Steve
