1st i want to say thnx for letting me join this kool lookin forum.everybodys builds look awesome tthis is an 1/12 scale oshkosh t1500 airport fire and rescue truck.i started this truck over month ago. little by little i will bring you up to date it will have a working roof mounted water cannon,lower doors will open and slide,engine compartment will open,lights and sounds of the deal here i started with tirea and rims.the rims were mad from 3 different rims to get the width and style was looking for. the tires are from rc4wd the rails i have in stock and cut them to length, i beleive i cut them to 32 inches long the axles are of a military style duece-in-half here the truck i want to do

im still working on the front bumper. theres a lot of stuff thats involve in making this function ive decided to make a working bumper mounted water cannon. it will turn l/r but not up/down i needed to make a compartment that was accessible also install pull ring and fog lights

a guy from the forums works with these trucks. he sent alot of pictures :celebrat: the front panel under the bumper has a hose and reel in it. i m going to put one in it. it will be static. but an excellent thought for the next truck so here picture of before heres where i cut it out. not its time to make it

you can see that i have it apart, its at the point where i dont want to go to far ahead untill i get the top chassis rails painted .after this part the chassis will be complete and i dont have to go back to it. this is also where all of the rear wiring is done. i also notice the fenders and rear lower section rubbed. so i had to bring each fender out 1mm.

a really nice guy suggested to make the tranny look like an engine. he sent pictures and info the only thing i couldnt really do is get a true scale of what i need.also with all the accessories on the engine i coulnt really get a clear view. so i went with what i can see and guest work. a thanks to the guys for the info and pictures. hopefully everybody like what i did i had another set of tranny covers. added some heads, valve covers, screws,intake mantifold and some paint. theres a front plate that goes on the front of the engine. if i can get picture of this area, i can probably come up with something

1st i went with silver, but na it didnt look right. so looked on the web for more truck and half of them were painted the color of the truck too. so i went with red ,and whit bars/handles. the white will break up the red. this will match the top white pin stripe on the truck

cover is painted,holes are drilled for lights and screws are in waiting on lenses now
