Just thought that I'd share this with you. The major criticism with the new B-52 kit is the way that the wings have been moulded. There's a small manufacturer in the USA that has produced a resin wingbox to correct the wings to represent the wings when the aircraft is on the ground. The Company is Buff Master Design, the product code is BMDR72004 and it's available from Great Models www.greatmodels.com/Alfie

It's a Hillman 16 Hawk like this one: www.motorbase.com/profiles/vehicle/picture.ehtml?i=1519972663;p=1113377301The number plate has been stolen from Guernsey as all the Channel Islands have exclusive use of a letter and a number to register their cars. Jersey is J###, Guernsey G###, etc. A UK mainland number was always 3 letters followed by a number as the letters related to the registration district that the car was bought in. Sooooo...if you're going to tell us different, then something underhand is afoot! ;D Alfie

The number plate looks like it originated in Guernsey....right hand drive....1940s-ish....Lea Francis or a similar small British manufacturer?

Hmm.... ...is it worth the effort of putting the extension in? Would anyone notice in 1/72? Many years ago I built a T22 using the Airfix B6 - had to do something about that awful nose on the kit, a Buccaneer radome seemed the obvious answer. The T22 was new, that shows you how long ago it was. What I didn't realise was that the T22 was based on the PR7, so I didn't do any extension as I didn't know I needed to. It just looked wrong, and for ages I couldn't work out why. So yes, in 1:72 it is small in the grand scheme of things, but it is noticeable. Gentlemen A scan of the Aeroclub conversions of the B6/T4 and the PR3/PR7 side by side Alfie

Hi Foxy
A quick search on Hannants' site came up with 57 items. Pavla and Falcon do the canopies and HR do an early 2 seater (field mod) conversion. The Aviation Megastore has quite a stock of IL-2 items also.

Ian
Thank you for the heads up. I've been fooled by the 'more news soon' message on their home page. I've just enquired by email and was told that the set is available under the aircraft kits section of their website at £24.95 + £2.50 postage. The credit card is a little heavier now!

In the days when I subscribed to satellite TV, Eurosport used to feature tractor pulling events. Apparently, it's hugely popular in Holland, Germany and Scandinavia. Some of the large tractors were awesome. Powertrains included...4 V8s powering the one transmission...2 RR Griffons...several ex-helicopter gas turbines...tank engines...etc. It used to pass an evening or 3.
