Thats good news none of us seem to have heard from him for a while.
If he is going to give up leadership of the SIG then I am sure we can come up with something, we just need to know one way or the other.

Guys,
this is an idea I have been toying with for a while, starting up a SIG in IPMS UK for the F-86 sabre.
Traditionally single aircraft SIGs sometime dont have enough support. However the Hawk guys seem to be doing OK so I thought to give this a whirl?
The F-86 Sabre was used throughout the western world and I think it could make an interesting display.
The aim would be to start this year with the aim of displaying at Telford in 2012 when we can get organised.
Any IPMS members up for this?

Colin,
not much from me, too little time this year.
Can do the USMC Banshee, USMC RF-4B and the RF-101B, latter is flying on a stand if that makes a difference.
I did promise the RF-8G but I now find I need that for our club stand, sorry.

Having been a judge for a couple of years now I must admit I have hardly seen any of these "super kits" in the comp. The majority in the OOB classes are just that.

Not lucid, I would say so!
Three sheets to the wind the navy guys would say.
Nice to see the website getting looked at.

If we are going to do FAC aircraft then it gives me an excuse to build my F-4E "Chico The Gunfighter" acted as a fast FAC carrying 2 x 20mm gunpods in place of the Sgt Fletcher tanks.
Also have an really old conversion for doing a Neptune AP-2H this was part recon part attack.
I have many other made in the USA kits, just depends how many I can possibly build. Got a couple of U-2's and 4 conversions for the RF-8 in 1.48!

Rolf,
was not a very succesfull aircraft allround. They only made 23 (22 were ex Canadian AF F-101's).
The USAF perceived a shortfall in Tactical recon assests which never really happened.
As with a lot of projects they overspent for basically 1 sqn of planes, plus they never worked properly and need a lot of mods in thier limited service.
I still think its strange to see a 2 seet Voodoo in camo!
