Julien, WOW I have to see that in the flesh, it looks amazing...how does it stand up, force fields/ magnets/the dark side of the force, or discreet wires? You are more courageous than me, I have to admit that I would never attempt something like that... Pity you say it will not be ready for November... What else do you have in the 'to do' pile at the moment? Anything you are planning on displaying? Colin Errrrr...... I will get back to you on how it hangs when I actually figure it out! At the moment I am having problems with my email as well. I will bring, 1/72 Photo Banshee, RF-8G, Fairy Seafox, Be-4 Flying Boat and my little 1/144 RF-8G I am hoping to get the 1/48 U-2R with the rams horn antenna done as well. I will bring the Drachen kit along so you can all look at me, scratch you heads and get me committed ;D Will have to see if I can shoe horn anyhting else into the build schedule as also have 4 Helos to build for the Aerobatic SIG display! No way this makes Telford 07, you will understand when you see the rigging diagram!

Colin,
I suspect mainly Subs but used more for intel gathering than atucal recce. I know there is rumors that the US has retrofitted some of its old Missiles subs for intel gathering.
There is the classic case of the Soviet Trawlers, also the US Navy did use converted tuna boats as sonar listening platforms to detect Russian subs but most of that is still classified.

Thanks for those phots I think the new Type 45's are great ships. As far as capability is concerned they have to be built with the capability to take on future targets.
Its good to see there is a little of our shipbuilding insdtru left, this from someone who used to be a part of it.

Favorite model you have built:Torn between my RF-8G and my big 1/24 scale Airfix Hurri Which model has given you the most grief:My RF-8G, as no one makes one I had to attach 1/2 a resin conversion to 1/2 an injected kit and do some home made mods, got there in the end.
