My 1/72 Heller F-8J done at the end of its life at the AMARC facility Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. White markings which represent the Spraylat coating were done mainly with one of thise tipex pens, black tape lines with a permanent marker. Julien

Well I got it finished even though it tried hard to get binned. Its the Fujimi Kit 1/72. No cockpit in the kit hence the the canopies painted. Also as no pit I had to scratchbuild the top of the front gear well. Decals were really bad. Thanks to my friend Tim Mansfield for a spare set and thanks to Chuck Cook for sending me the Model Master Jet Exhaust paint which I used here for the first time and think it looks good. It does not show up to well in the pics but finish is satin (anti glare pannel is matt) with the canopies and recce windows gloss. The clear pits were painted from the inside. Julien

Hi,
not normally a visitor to this part of the site being a plane guy. A friend of mine is getting back into modelling and is really into trucks.
Do you gouys know some good online places to get truck kits and aftermarket parts from?
Cheers,

I have built the odd truck model and they are good. There was an Southern based modeling group I saw at the last Southern Expo who had some truley outstanding builds, I just cant remember what club.
Does anyone know who built the flatbed which won in the truck class that was nice kit.

I have 2 of these I got from a good friend in a trade and I know I will never use them.
If anyone wants one then please give me a shout, only drawback is you have got to use it not just chuck it in the stash & forget about it.

I'm a firm believer that if you have a good ejector seat to focus the eye then the rest of the cockpit looks great too, even if it's only what's in the kit. Exactly what I did with my KP Mig-21 and it works even with an open canopy as you cant see much else. Like the work. Julien

Well I finally managed to this finished. This must be one of the worst kits I have ever made. Fit was terrible, canopy was worse than that, many of the smaller parts were not usable, decals started to fall apart. I decided to build it gear up and paint over the cockpit due to the short commings. Hope it looks OK Julien

Hi, I just got this out from the stash to start; Kit is really rough old style eastern European plastic. That much flash it is almost a vac form ;D I am going to do on a stand as the gear is really terrible. More pics to follow. Julien
