Bummer!! I have the Ju88D-1 kit, but plan on using the 900 liter tanks on it. I hope you are right about them releasing a future dedicated recce version. I will wait till then to buy one. Cheers, Larry The A/E kit already includes a lower transparency without fairing for the bomb sight. AND the kit is already scarce here in CE - better buy now and use the kit in place of stock market if a recce version follows..... ;D

Looking at the cost of Hasegawa's 1/72 Ju188 kit (~$50), I think I will stick with my preferred scale (1/48), and modify my Dragon kits. Hasegawa and Tamiya seem to be pricing themselves out of my reach. Larry

I just got the ICM 1/72 kit of the Heinkel He70F-2, and there are no windows underneath for the camera(s). I looked through Dave Wadman's Aufklärer Vol 1, and couldn't find anything on it. There is one photo of a He70F, with a crew member hanging over the side with a Handkammer. I can't believe that is the only way they used cameras in that plane? Does anybody have any drawings or photos, showing the size & location of the camera window(s)? A bonus would be a drawing showing how the camera(s) mounted inside the plane. TIA Larry

. Larry, you are not alone that's one of the many unanswered questions on recce and on Luftwaffe recce in particular. I shall bring that up on Flugzeugforum next but do not expect much gen.... Cheers, Rolf

Hi Larry,
Regarding the He 70, I'll have a look through my files but don't remember seeing any schematics for an internal camera fit as I'm sure that if I had they would have been included.
Cheers Dave

Intertested in getting involved as I'm currently trying to build a Bf110C5 but thwarted by the fact that I can find no reliable information (pic, drawings) showing where the camera port was located.
Might end up just building a standard C1/4 version instead as a result but really want to build the C5 coded 5F+CM which was shot down during the Battle of Britain and subsequently test flown as AX772 (might build in RAF colours).
Regards Colin.

Very nice Rolf - just had a look over at the links as well.
I've never heard of this particular DFS aircraft before. You said it was a research aircraft, but what was it researching?
