Thanks for the compliment and yes 1/72nd - the one and only real British scale - (at least for me) Rolf

Guys - on the topic of luftwaffe recce - anyone any photos of the Ju86R, as in, where were the camera ports etc, what were the markings etc.....
I'd very much like to do the famous Ju86R that was shot down over Egypt by a stripped down Spit Mk V, or at least something close to.....

Best source may be the Schiffer book on the 86, also see: ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/2002/06/stuff_eng_ibes_ju86r.htmPropose you get in touch stating what you already have available for your project. Might help defining what else I could offer from my meagre data. And if you have any reliable info / data on the shootdown cited above pls let me know. Rolf

Rolf,
What can I say...... You know I love your work, and that is yet another lovely example of what you do, so well..........
Lovely illustrated build as well. Nice to see a few more folks appreciating your work, and learning from how you do it.
Keep going, hopefully the word will spread and others will be inspired to try and emulate your work.....
Must admit, it's quite a thought as to what your models would look like in 1/48..?
Ju86R looks intriguing, wouldn't mind looking at that myself.....

ADDENDUM Ju 88 B - camera fit:
As is often the case you stumble on additional info only after everything is finished.
Browsing "On Special Mission" again I realized a detail in one of the pictures on page 17, contradicting my realization of the camera fit.
Ju 88 V24 obviously had the cameras in the rear bomb bay in accordance with early 88 A-1(F) - D-0 / D-2 style.
Camera window can be clearly seen in the open LH rear bomb bay door.
Sorry if I have lead anybody astray....
Rolf
