Hey southsix1 I told you as soon as m batteries wear charged.. Hear are six pictures of the engine and tender in the construction stages of the conversion.. The shell and covering of the engine and tender are made of .040 sheet plastic.. I am waiting on some more sheet to come in.. I am going to add a covering of .005 more to the engine and tender in sections [ panels ] to replicate the individual plates.. I will post more pictures as I go.. Probuly next week or so.. Depends on when my plastic comes in.. Wolf : ;D

Ayup Wolf, nice build and I'm following it closely. Just a small point though. Over the past couple of years, I've seen three models of the completed Br52 (unarmoured) and each builder has placed a Flak on the tender of the locomotive. However, I've not seen any documented photos of this sort of placement and would ask if the Flak would have been placed there? ... would the plating of the tender stand the operation and weight of the gun?
Just a thought folks, any comment?

Hey southsix1 the only info I have of a Flak on the tender is from some drawing in Die Panzerzuge des Deutschen Reiches page 134.. And on page their are drawing of an armored Br52 and artist concept photo.. But the drawing and photo are of the tub type tender ( CMK type ) not the one in Trumpeters kit..The on in the trumpeter's kit is a stronger design though.. With a little reinforcing it can be done..

Hi Wolf , the confusion over the Flack is caused by the angle photos are taken of the train, the truth is there is a flack wagon behind the tender , this is built on the gondela type chassis and is constructed of wooden planks into a raise platform and crew shelter . I have the photos of the wagon if you would like them , very nice build cheers ian

Wolf. Looks very nice with all the work you have done so far. Can you tell me if the signal box currently in white between the Panthers is scratch built as it looks pretty good as well. Do you think you could tell us about this if you get the chance? Ian S

Hey Guts First, Ive seen the pictures of the flak car you are talking about.. I know there is a lot of talk about the flak on the tender.. This particular type could carry a flak with only a little modification.. By adding all the strucherial framing and steel platting too armor it.. Second, the switch tower is from Custom Dioramics, I think it has been discontinued, it is hard to find.. I will post some of the diorama pictures later with full info on my other post (Rail Road Station WIP).. I will modify the leed story to give the history and story of the build.. Wolf
