Wolfie this is typical of the rear lights seen in the seventies, taken on my truck They don't have road tax as such in the US but they need permits to operate in various states and you should find on the decal sheet some stickers for some states which can be on the bumper or the doors etc. Ted

Wolfie, looks like a Yank but there are a couple of points I would make, the air conditioner unit on the roof would "never" (well I have never seen one) painted in the truck livery even on our trucks, they are usually white or red with the company logo, The running lights on the roof they are separate chrome items and you would be hard pushed to see them painted over mate.
see you found out about the pogo stick, good build for a first time AMT kit well done

I have an AMT logging trailer I picked up in the kit swap at Telford so I might match them up.
OK point taken but I'm sure some owner operators might have it differently!
Yeah I know but so much horrible chrome. Just assume its the same owner operator ;D
I gave it a Maine reg plate thats a foresty type state isn't

Ayup Wolfie, I think that truck would look better with a general freight trailer behind it, rather than a logging trailer.

Any particular reason mate?
I mean would the Yanks not use such a truck for logging purposes?
I just don't happen to have a spare US trailer handy LOL

I just don't happen to have a spare US trailer handy LOL That truck is an over the road truck not a rugged type to go into forest territory, got the wrong suspension on it and it is a light alloy frame you need something like a Mack R600 with a heavy chassis to cope with all the off road work. put a box or flatbed behind it when you come across one sometime

Yeah I had a look at the logging kit, you have to make some adjustments to the tractor anyway. Some of the parts attach to the tractor chassis.
I'll get that one with the big cow horn decals LOL.
Wolfie.

Being as Father Christmas came to mine via KFS, I have added some cab side decals and experimented with a light bar. The bar is clearly only sat on it but what do we think?

Ayup Wolfie. I've not seen American long haulers with that sort of light array on the roof, although it seems to be the norm with loads of European stuff. Not quite sure what the rules are with regards to lighting in America, that Peterbilt turned out well in the end though.
