Dear All,
It has been suggested that we have a 'roster' of names of all the SIG members with basic information like 'Login' names and real names.
Plus of course any other information you would be willing to be made public....
Just to give everybody an idea of who we all are....
Any objections?
Any comments?
Any Suggestions?
Colin

To start the ball rolling..........
Login name.............................real name.................................interests.
Colin Shipton-Knight, for both.........................................Anything Recce.
I suppose in many ways you can blame me for starting this... Been hugely surprised at the interest and participation in the SIG. Hugely happy that it has proved of interest to so many people, so many lovely models, and people... I have learnt so much about the subject. Am mainly interested in RAF Recce, but have branched out into all sorts of Recce Aircraft from all sorts of countries. Build mainly 1/48. also run the Decal Bank.

Rob Monfea - for both - Mainly RAF photo-recce WWII to present day. Occasionally dabble with USAF subjects, especially ones with the designation RF-4! Will get around to finishing my recce Mirage IV at some point too! UKLO for IPMS (UK) which generally means I spend more time organising modellers than I do actually modelling! Can be seen in the wild at Telford each November looking flustered, or knackered (or both).

obliging - also because I was the one bringing up the subject to Colin: popeye..................Rolf Blattner recce aircraft 1/72nd, all kind of, RAF - USAF - including maritime - Luftwaffe WWII, etc. specialising in this theme since picking up modelling again about 15 years ago after "family break". Presently favouring again Luftwaffe subjects after friendly prodding by founder Colin as he was regretting having little Luftwaffe for the SIG display.. Started modelling as ipms member in ca 1965, building WWII European combatants and modern stuff. Rolf

Name : Kit Spackman Login name : kitspackman (original, eh?) Interests : There isn't enough space really..... Obviously recce aircraft, late '30s onwards, (fuelled from my Dad flying PR with the RAF until 1945) Other military stuff, 1939 onwards, but usually post WWII. 1/144 airliners of any period, and my real speciality is 'spoof aircraft, or 'What Ifs' in IPMS-speak. Combining the first and the last of those interests produced my notorious Meteor PR19 some 15 years ago.

Hi folks,
Michael Chilestone, like it says in my signature. I have varied and eclectic modelling interests within the confines of 1:48 aircraft, but as far as Recce is concerned I'll build anything with a sensor.
I lived not far from Mildenhall, and in 1974 cycled over to see the SR-71 arrive there from Farnborough - very impressive! I also lived near Alconbury in the late 80s-early 90s and regularly saw TR-1s in the circuit.
Favourite recce aircraft? Hard to say: the RF-4 has to be up at the top there somewhere, as does the SR-71 (I really must start that Testors kit!), eagerly awaiting the Airfix B-57 as I understand it will include a Patricia Lynn in the box. I also have a soft spot for light liaison/spotter types like the Auster, L-4 Cub, Fi 156 Storch, etc.
(Edit for typo - I really must make a New Year resolution to check posts before posting, not after.)

Really only a part time sig member as I build other wingy types as well, but I keep having moments of inspiration followed by realising how much research and work is involved! no particular favourites, but I have a soft spot for the mosquitoe and hornet. one thing, though in the displays I,ve seen so far there are not many rotary wing models as these are , probabaly more numerous than dedicated reecce types in present air arms, I find this suprising. I will try to build more reecce stuff this year- my new years resolution, although with my preffered scale of 1/32 , not too may for space consideration

Hi All
Mr.Canberra = John Sheehan.
As my Alias implies my favorite Aircraft is The Canberra in all it's lovely forms, but I do have a grate interest in Photo recce and Met. flight aircraft, and odd research types. Mainly building in 1/72 but also 1/48. I'm also the head of the Aviation Ireland SIG.
