Just watched it. Absolutely brilliant. Airfix should have the model on their stand at SMW.

Fantastic! Funniest thing I've seen for ages. James May for President of Europe!

Perhaps someone should invite the kids (and James May) with their parents to SMW!

Perhaps someone should invite the kids (and James May) with their parents to SMW! I think it's a bit late for that, excellent programme though.

Perhaps someone should invite the kids (and James May) with their parents to SMW! I asked him if he would come when we were making the program and he said he didn't think he could make it. Ted

Perhaps our Publicity Officer could contact the school... He's in Shropshire and the school is less than a mile from The International Centre!

I watched it with Mrs Brianthemodeller and now, every time I mention Spitfire or Airfix, all she says is NO!
That said, the programme was brilliant. Can't wait to see the ones on Lego, Scalectrix and trains...

As you may know, I work for Modelzone and beleive me, this program has done wonders for thr profile of Airfix. Over the first 3 days of the kids half term we sold 2 Airfix kits. Between 9am and 2pm todaywe sold 60!!! Thats a months sales in half a day. God bless James May...... Mark

That is great news. After listening to the kids first reactions to building kits, I thought they would never build another but by the end, even some of the girls were seeming to enjoy the hobby!
Ted, can I ask what part you played in making the programme? I noticed the aknowledgements at the end there was no mention of Airfix/Humbrol. I would have liked to have seen more of the process of making the Airfix kits. It also made it look like the moulding was done at the factory, whereas I thought it was all done in China?

Can't remember where, when, or who, but I was told that, though the moulds are made in China, the mouldings are done on the Isle of Sheppey (or Dogs.) Edgar
