All 14 counterweights built and filled with Plaster of Paris. Just lifting eyes to add. Next is sorting out cable drums and motors.

Good to see your back on with the crane, I was beginning to wonder if you had lost interest. The weight boxes look interesting.

This is a stunning build. Do the counter-weights slide along the beam?

Thanks guys. The weights are fixed in one position. Depending on the setup, it can have more counterweights on a mobile frame set further out.

Oh heck, If I need any rod and tube I'd better get some quick as there is going to be a national/international shortage Seriously I am really looking forward to the next chapter in this build. Will you need to file in the radius on the end of each piece in order to get the best fit? Will you be using some sort of jig for that? Just curious with regards the practicalities? Thanks Rich

I think we'll corner Mick at Gaydon and hold him to ransom for his stash of plastic ...

Hi Rich, If you look at repy 43 you can see the setup I use to sand the ends of the tubing. The clamp is fixed to a rotary table so I can adjust the angle to be sanded. It's a slow job doing every joint. The angle is different on the sides to top and bottom. Nick i'll keep out of your way at Gaydon

Boy we're all looking forward to seeing the next chapter of this build BUT I think I'll be an old man before it's finished, yep I know it's a slow build and needs to be taken carefully I'm just stating I'll be an old man heck I'm 61 now guys, need glasses to see when I build and have shaky hands to do my cardstock. I'm not far behind you Dingo, i'd like to see it finished as well. Set up jig to add horizontal members to jib sections.

Had a go at making clip to hold jib connection pins from small safety pins. Cut head off and bent ends to suit. Only another 75 to go.

That is incredible work on a huge scale mind boggling I am gobsmacked what on earth can you say about a model like that.
