Managed to get the front windscreen glazed and the wiper fitted. Before the wipe was attached I gave the screen two coats of Alclad Aqua Gloss, which was dripped unto the screen with a pipette. Never done this before, but it seemed to get rid of all the minor scuffs and scratches. I haven't fitted the windscreen yet, but most of the major assemblies are in place (apart from the hydraulic rams - still waiting for aluminium tube). The pins which hold the front and rear bodies together are also still missing, as I need to sort out some of the plumbing that links front to rear. Lots and lots still to do. Cheers Steve

Nige: Glad you like it so far, but we never used them for toilet rolls!
Scammellfan: Thanks for looking in. All scratch built except for the wheels/tyres and the arms of the windscreen wiper.

A little bit more progress, with some of the decals fixed, the hydraulic rams fitted (again), and the flexible pipes finally fitted in their finished position. Not too much more to do now. A few more decals to be printed and fixed, the roof to go on, and the rest of the cab to be glazed and that should be about it. Steve

Patience Nick, patience.... I'm currently sitting with a glass of whisky in celebration of putting the last bits together on the JCB - it's officially finished! ( but I'll probably still faff about with it for a few days, tidying things that I hadn't noticed previously) ;D Thanks to all those folk who've followed this three and a half month build and for all the really helpful advice and tips along the way. As ever, comments always welcome (and I've just noticed in the photos two small things that need fixing). Do we ever really finish? Cheers Steve

Looking forward to a pic or two oudoors on a sunny day with your ULC on the forks to get some ultra real photos for the finished work !!!!!!!!!!

Richie, thanks for looking in. Next project is probably going to be the Eager Beaver, which was the predecessor to the JCB410M, scratch built at 1/24 scale.
