Colin,
for me you will have to scrub the U-2 sorry but just wont be done to much fiddling with resin bits on this one. You can add the 1/72 RF-86 though. I will try to get dimensions to you.
For all you recce modelers I will be bringing my 1/72 German Observation balloon kit as I am hoping for some suggestions as to how to display the thing if I dont actually go mental trying to rig it up!
T shirts sound good but I will need a large one!

Rolf, Julien and Dennis,
Wow, impressive balloon, glad I'm not attempting anything like that, but I would dearly love to see Julien's face when he see's the photos!
Table plan "A" almost ready, will try to photo and send via email in coming days to see what you all think?
Rolf did you see the Condor in amongst those photos?

Rolf, Colin,
Now THAT is what I call modelling and whoever made the Beobachtunsballon and the Cody biplane are my kind of modellers. Thanks for the pointer Popeye. A lot of inspirational modelling there but that is what the hobby is all about. Hope they are both coming to Telford - are they ? - hope so.
Thanks again
Dennis

Dear All.....!
Table plan "A" done, despite having the same sense of panic as last year, along the lines of.............. 'Oh my Gawd, how are we going to fit this lot on four tables...'
It is done,......... the models so far committed will fit on the tables! (assuming I can get shelves done, but hopefully that should not be a problem).
Have approached it the same as last year regarding dimensions, and that left us with plenty of room for adjustments and labels, we have enough space, indeed have a few blank spaces, which we can either fill with extras or just spread everything out a little...
Will try and scan and send to you all over coming days, look forward to comments, organised along lines of 11 people displaying models ranging from WWI to modern day, left to right, smaller scales at front, bigger at back, with shelves central rear, with 'airborne' exhibits at either end, hopefully should be good.....
Are there any photos/labels/information any one would like to display? for those of you who saw last year, you know I have a small collection of photos regarding the subject of Recce. Any one got any thing they might prove of interest? There should be ample room on table to do so.

Dear All.....! Have sent email's to every one who has offered models for display this year......including table plan of what I am proposing for our display...... I would welcome any comments! or suggestions!!!! The way I have laid it out is WWI to the left, up to date to the right, smaller scale's to the front and bigger models and scales to the rear! We seem to have a greater spread of models this year, covering the subject in more detail, let alone the thought of next year....with the possibility of joint display with Avon SIG, next, covering Reconnaissance as a subject.....................Jointly. I am proposing that we try to have a meeting of all members of the Photo Recce SIG to discuss these matters, and have a general get together, how about 15:00hrs on Saturday at the stand? ?? If you could let me know availability or alternative suggestions, greatly appreciated.......colinshipton-knight@blueyonder.co.uk As far as I am aware I shall be on the Recce stand all weekend, along with Dennis and I have no doubt that many of you will be spending time on the stand throughout the weekend, is any one able to commit themselves to spending any time on the stand so as to give me and Dennis time away to 'clobber' our credit card's??? Starting to look forward to it all......and meeting you all again. Colin

Colin and All,
no problem - you tell me where to stick it (politely) and I'll stick it. Got mail and plan, will reply tonight or tomorrow but looks good - keep the SSZ where it is just in case ! Inflation scheduled for next week when I get the cylinder. I'll bring something down to work on whilst I'm being annoyingly knowledgeable behind the stand!!
Once I have visited Harrier SIG , Phantom SIG, certainly intend to "clobber" Credit Card, on the Aeroclub stand for starters followed by anyone with WWI stuff.
Meeting a good idea, especially bearing in mind that 2008 is 90th anniversary of the RAF - got some ideas for that.
Not looking forward to the travelling, but certainly been looking forward to the show.

Julien,
Fear not! Being a psychiatric nurse, I have plenty of anti psychotics to hand, just put them in your espresso while you are attempting rigging.........
It's a kind of 'double whammy', the caffeine should keep you going, and yet the anti psychotics should dampen down any thoughts of what you are attempting to do is beyond the abilities of humankind.....
And for when those unbidden thoughts of throwing it across the room surface.......I shall provide you with the phone number of the 'crisis team' at your local Community Mental Health Team. Just remember "care in the community" is a marvelous thing, and becoming psychotic is no longer regarded as a barrier to having a 'normal' life, as long as you regard modeling first world war balloons as normal..........................

The 262 should be ready for SMW. Am painting it this weekend and after the addition of wheels, figures and a little light weathering should be all done. The Kettenkrad is done but am happy to leave that out if you just want the jet.
Let me know if you are content with this.
