Seb,
Many thanks for the wonderful time we both had at Kirchberg! Lovely show, full of marvelous models and lovely people.....Want to return in the future..
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, including being embarrassed on stage. Shelley was quite taken aback, and was quite touched by the friendship shown to us, the flowers took centre stage in the car, and actually made it back to England relatively unscathed, currently on table top.
Models also made it back, undamaged, bonus!
Most impressed at standard of models in Switzerland! Felt a little humbled! Will try harder in future.....
Thank you to you all...........................Please pass on our thanks.
Colin and Shelley Shipton-Knight

Ted,
Sounds good to me, nobody else as far as I know is doing 1/32, let alone a Lightning! Is it going to be a 'blue' colour? Let alone the intriguing 'Haze' colour scheme??? Love to see what your going to come up with! Particularly with your standard of build quality....
Hey your on the table with that one as far as I am concerned....

Hey folks..... Let alone starting research on Mirage III RS of Swiss Airforce, am starting to look at Swedish Viggen AJ37SF, particularly in grey colour schemes. Anybody got any direction or tips? Looking at the moment at converting Airfix 1/48 model with new nose, going to make a master, anyone interested? Markings, note all national markings in 'low vis' grey, any suggestions? Colin

Colin You need the Airdoc book British Phantoms in Germany for details of 2 Sqdn FGR.2's. Note they never operated FG.1's. This book has an excellent section on all the RAF sqdns in RAF Germany.

Well just checked and we seem to have space allocated for SMW 2007!
Get modeling and planning what you want to show folks...!
Please try and let me know as soon as possible what you want to show, ideally stating size in cm's, stopped working in inches about 30 years ago.
We hopefully shouldn't have too many problems fitting everything in, but you never know.....Anybody got anything unusual that they would like to display? I'm planning on a display of unmanned aerial vehicles, but they shouldn't take up much table space as I'm going to display them airborne on wire stand(?) it will become clearer....
Hope to start hearing from you all....
Colin

Hi Colin,
Re the AJSF-37 you could try to find World Air power Journal volume 13 (summer 1993) it has a 40+ page article on the Saab Viggen. unfortunately no grey AJSF-37's.
If you want I can mail you some pics of grey recce Viggens I took on the open days of Lulea '03 and Ronneby '04
For the 2 Sqn aircraft try I you can find the book Second to none by H. Onderwater, Airlife 1992 ISBN 1 85310 351 9 (more jaguars than Phantoms).
Cheers,
Peter

Just got my little package with a Global Hawk and Predator UAV's in 1/72, ooh looks nice, didn't appreciate just how big Global Hawk is!
I'm off and running on doing a little display of UAV's for SMW2007.
How are the rest of you doing? Any interesting projects in the pipeline?

Might have an RF-4B for you this year, unless Ted wrestles it from you The Mirage IV plan is on hold for the time being, as I managed to stand on the box the other night, wrecking one half of the fuselage! Rob M.
