cluck, cluck, cluck, not arf ;D I may be a glutton for punishment but not mad , I have enough trouble with foliage green and pru blue to start worrying about haze (unless its Gerry Mulligans 'purple haze' of course). If any one would like a sneaky peak of aircraft in question Meteor prods website followed by PYN UP in search will get you there - eventualy ....

JonB,
Hell an F 7B/B 24 model in 1/48 th!
Sounds great to me...Seen photos in 'eyes of the phoenix', personally think that would have an 'impact value', most folks don't realise what they did...Go for it! ,can you do it for SMW 2007? Let me know..Space available.
Have to admit I am biased, I like 1/48, gives you scope for detail and impact...'man sized' models......but they do take up space ...let me know your thoughts!
Did 'local show' over the weekend, two tables, had to think about what I showed, no major problem!
Lots of interest, lots of conversations about subject and models, a few folks seemingly inspired to do models along "Photo Recce " lines, most inspiring...most worthwhile, it's one of those subjects......
Much comment and discussion regarding future of 'Recce' regarding my small display of 'UAV's', most entertaining and thought provoking...
Looking forward to SMW 2007, anyone got thoughts about layout of stand? Any thoughts about displaying models other than on table top?
Colin

Should have a PR Hurricane (Malta 1941) to display as well, as I liked the scheme in MAI last month. Finishing it in Azure blue, as I'm not convinced they had supplies of PR blue in Malta in 1941!
Any evidence to the contrary would be eagerly appreciated.
Cheers,
Rob M.

Thats torn it, you want detail as well !?! Will have it available for this years SMW, provided decals work ok. I was hoping that as it was big you could stick it at the back ! If this is done will not bring the Dinah, I only have so much room in my motor. Will let you know once its been done.

Thanks Colin, that is just what I was worrying about On a sligtly different tack, does anyone have the Indian roundals (old and new) from the Modal Alliance PRU Spifire sheets that they do not want ? If so I will galdley take them off your hands and can swap for other markings on said sheet, just let me know what you would like (I also have a set of 1/48 PR Spit markings for the Royal Danish Airforce if you would rather swap for those). Scale is 1/48th, I need the Indian markings for a little project CAFFE SIG are working on for this year - and I know this request should perhaps be on the marketplace section but I reason recce types (most likely to have the sheets) will look here first. Thanks for your help folks

JonB,
I have all the 1/48th sheets from model alliance, don't need them any more, not intending doing any more Spitfires....Ever had Spitfire 'burnout' ?
Give me mail with address, will send to you.

Keep looking folks, this thread is nearly at 2,000 views! Is this a record?
(No. A (usually) black disc of 7" or 12" diameter with a spiral groove each side and a hole in the middle, now that's a record ;D )

Actually I think you've a way to go to set a record. The Wallace and Gromit thread (see TV Modelling) currently stands in excess of 16000 views

MikeC,
Hell 2000, the last, (actually the first Recce post), had 3,500 plus so we have a way to go yet.
16,000 for Wallace and Gromit , well all I can say is that it is obviously the 'novelty' factor that boosted their numbers.............
But then again, 3,500 for the last, 2,000 for this.......hmuum thats 5,500, not bad.....
