Having a look at overview of display at SMW 2006, considering its first display by "Photo Recce SIG", seems an oddity that we dont have model of aircraft that epitomises Photo Recce, the U2, anyone interested in doing one? ? Colin

RPG, Any chance you will have finished Learjet by November and would like to display on "Photo Recce SIG" tables??? Colin Er, well, thanks Colin, this takes me by surprise. After several decades I sort of got interested in this lark again so I'm a "mature beginner", just working on a couple of Spitfires (naturally) and feeling my way... But I'm enthused by the possibilities available these days, after market bits, wonderful materials, good airbrushes (bought a s/h Iwata) etc... This is a roundabout way of saying I might, but then again I'm very busy and have limited time to play around with this revived hobby of mine, so especially as the Learjet (which I've started in a small way) requires considerable scratch alteration and custom painting/decalling, I might not... If I make progress I'll let you know. Thanks for the offer. Regards, RPG

Hey RPG, welcome back to the hobby. I came back after more years than I care to remember, I've made friends with numerous modellers across the globe via the internet and snail mail, what other hobby gives you that.
See you at SMW in November perhaps?

Hello All!
Trying to plan for the stand at SMW 2006, have got a rough table plan, having done it in "word" but cant figure out how to get it onto here for you to see!!! Any chance you could email me with your various email addresses so I can send it to you all?
Suggestion made by Rolf, from Switzerland, about trying to organise a time to try and get together on the stand, as I appreciate that a lot of you probably have other commitments. Any ideas or suggestions?
I am anticipating and planning to arrive Friday afternoon at 1600, and essentially staying on the stand all weekend.

Try saving the word document as an image. place the Image in Photobucket (i assume you have an account if not it is free) then import the image to this thread.
Hope this helps Ian

Cheers Ian, That sounds a really simple solution, however pardon me for asking a stupid question. What and where is a photo bucket?

Folks,
Just to keep the profile above the edge of sinking from page 1!
Progressing well. it looks as if we will have a display of 60 models plus, half of which are from UK and half from overseas, an ambitious display for SMW 2006 I know, but feel we can do it! Table plan looking quite interesting, don't know how to do it in word, so have taken photo! but don't know how to put this on here!!!!
Shelves times -12 for display already purchased and sprayed, organising "banners" as we speak, should work, and I feel ensure interesting display, will try and contact everyone individually over coming weeks about getting models to Telford and organising where they go, also manning stand, am anticipating doing so myself for majority of weekend!
Please feel free to contact me directly........ Colinshipton-Knight@Blueyonder.co.uk

Everybody......
I have sent numerous personal messages and emails tonight!
Please folks, have a look, I have come up with "plan F" as a plan to display all our wares at SMW 2006, some people have come on board, one model has dropped out, I want To include everybody as far as I can, Its a common interest, and one that has been underrepresented in the past as far as I am concerned, however plans can only be so flexible.
If you want to display your models, then please contact me. time waits for no man or woman.....
Look forward to responses....
Colin

God, the more I look at it........the table plan for SMW2006
Its going to be quite a display.....
I know I'm biased, but at SMW2005, I saw one Mosquito PRIV and one american lightning!
We're looking at 58 models of "PR" inclination on one stand, and some of them are seriously tasty!
Look forward to seeing/doing it....come on Telford....

Might even be worth while re-joining IPMS if the PR SIG gets up and running. It was always much more fun serving on recce units, Strategic, Tactical and Shhhhh ! than on "Orf we go into the wild blue yonder" fighter thingies.
