For 2013 we have a new display unit which is completed and away at the sign guy for cladding and graphics. It should look really impressive on the table, i've put about 100 hours into it so far.
So what I really need now is a list of models that will be available for the display.
The display is LeMans/Sportcar themed. Whilst I'd like a full 36/40 model LeMans display I know that is a little ambitious. So and sportscar racing car LeMans/ALMS Touring car/DTM or SuperGt/JGTC series or similar. Must be 1/24th please.
List here as follows the details of each of the models you'd like to make available in the format:
Porsche 956 Team Rothmans 1983 LeMans. J. Ickx/D. Bell.
No need to state the kit or scale.
I'm going to try fabricate name plates for all the models and bring them with me. Ta Ian Hartup

How do I go about getting my own sub forum in the SiG section? H Hi Ian PM or email John Tapsell who is currently managing the forum. Regards Colin Did that a couple of weeks ago but I sort of guessed he'd be a bit busy. H

It has been suggested recently that Tamiya's Licence agreement with Honda has expired so until they resign they cannot reissue the RC211V kits so you'll have to buy them when you can and at the price you find reasonable.

Hi Everyone, just wondered if any one could help with finding one of the 2002 or 2003 models, the kit numbers are 14902,14906 14904, any one would do. I have recently found a set of decals for both the Pramac version and the fortuna version but so far no luck finding a kit, was wondering if i should hang on for SMW and see whats in the secondhand traders. Any help would be much appreciated. PS Have looked on evil-bay and will not pay stupid money. Dave Define 'silly money' Dave List for these kits is now above £30. THC

I suspect that you'll find them to have little if any monetary value.
However stripped down and removed of their paint they may make a nice selection of practice pieces.

I would say that E-Mailing them to Lonewolf through his E-Mail on the webpage at the end of the link in his signature would be a start.

Have you not considered buying some of Hiroboy's coarse metal flake base for Candy colours. The clue is in the name!

Oooh now there's a subjective issue.
As a member of Lincoln Model Club we have a neat system in place which has worked for years.
There are four competition rounds a year; March (Open), June (Theme), September (Nationals Theme) and December (open). You can enter two models each round apart from the December round which has unlimited entries although only the top two will score in that round. Judges score each model out of 25. You cannot score your own models. Multiplying the scores by four gives a score from 100. An average is taken for each model and this is used to judge the winners of the individual rounds. Your top five scores from the year are added together too make the annual score. Highest annual wins.
At Lincoln this system has been in place for a very long time and apart from the odd occasion has proven very effective in encouraging more completed models on the tables and establishing a level playing field.
Hope this helps.

My experience tells me that the stock levels seem to have been low for ages.
Do we know if they're having a clearance sale?
