IIRC that was a decal that is in the kit he built. Do you not have the kit? What are you wanting the text for?

Any minute now that's going to go out of control and threaten a new Nuclear powered trans atlantic train tunnel. Only Thunderbirds can save the world!
Seriously nice bit of scratchbuilding

It strikes me that there was some sort of treaty/exchange of technology between the Romulans and Klingons in the early days as their 'entry level' birds of prey as seen on the Original Series are very similar. It is only later that the Romulan Warbirds and Klingon Birds of Prey diverged into separate 'Marks'. Lots of scope for Recce stuff though - how about Kirk in the transporter beam. You could also just have a simple base with the nameplate saying 'Romulan Bird of Prey - Cloaked', not sure you would win any prizes though. Paul IIRC the BOP Cloaked thing has been done. I still recall a comp entry at a Tyneside show of 'The Captains Log'. Not quite what you expected at first viewing. There is much suggestion that the Vulcans and Romulans come from common stock. The Romulans provided the Klingons with some technology against the Vulcan first contact rules. H

funny you should say that but the Klingon Bird of Prey was originaly a Recce ship which in later variants was upgraded to battle status. The Klingons are a bit like the Russians from that point of view. Build small and strong and why use a machine gun if a cannon will fit!

Thanks Paul. I use a Badger 150 and always spray Acrylics. I tried to spray Humbrol once, but after stirring the chuffin' stuff for about half hour I gave up! I've had a look at them Iwata airbrushes and have to say i'm tempted, but my concience (Mrs fatfingers) keeps telling me no ;D For me the best part is the weathering, always enjoy that bit. Cheers, Steve Just for once I agree with your beloved, you don't need the Iwata Badger 150 more than capable of all but the very finest work. H

I wasnt too impressed with it, i find it dries too quickly around the nozzle/needle thus reducing the flow..... Thanks for the comments guys, still lots to do.... I used to have that problem with Aeromaster Acrylics until i dropped the air pressure and added a spot of wetting agent to the mix (try Hobbycraft for this). H

Villers Bocage is very well documented in a book from After The Battle in their Then and Now series. If you can get a copy it is an absolute must for Wittmans vehicle.
