Mick,
Would love to meet you!
Idea sounds great! I would love to see 'stuff' and I have no doubt the others would as well, they are a good bunch.......
Hope you can get there, I will be the 45 year old fat bald bloke!

Dear All!
How goes it with 24 hours before set up???
I am ready to pack car tomorrow, directions sorted, butties in the fridge, and more importantly, all the models finished......including the flippin' Phantom that I 'crunched'.........
Any body got any last minute thoughts? Requests?
See you all soon

Colin
The 262 has been handed over to 'Les' from Farnborough IPMS this week. It is boxed up with your name and table location on so he shouldn't have too many drama's trying to find you.
Have a good weekend.

Paul,
Thanks for that, looking forward to seeing alongside Rolf's models...
Just got back from setting up table at Telford, it's all looking good!
The Recce tables I feel look better than last year, nice coverage of the subject with some tasty looking models, already getting a bit of interest......With your interest in Luftwaffe, will endeavor to take photos particularly of Rolf's, and send to you, assuming you can't make it this weekend!
Looking forward to tomorrow, apart from the drive there and back of course.....
Further news tomorrow night.
JonB,
Your Spits and Dinah got there, just as I was leaving, will arrange tomorrow morning.
Hope your son is improving, and you are not too 'wound up' at not being able to go.
Colin

Wow, what a show.........!
Thanks to everybody within the SIG, so many to mention!
Rolf, thank you, a rock, as always...God your Luftwaffe models are lovely.........an inspiration.......
Dennis, You were like a kid in a sweetshop! Look forward to next year, thank you for your enthusiasm, and knowledge...
Julien, entertaining as always! The rigging of the balloon is eagerly awaited....Let alone the rest of your purchases and builds...
John, Lovely Canberra's, glad I could help for travel.
Roger, Nay RD49, Hurricane lovely.....Pleased to have met. And thank you.......
Ian, you have the most photographed model on the stand, with good reason. Your 'Connie' is a work of art.
Rob, Your efforts in the background, are taken for granted! But I can appreciate what you did, I think, plus nice SR 71...Give us more....more! Models are the 'stars'.......Thanks.
Jon B, your exotic Spitfires did get attention, just sorry we did not have room for the Dinah.
Paul, the Me 262 was probably the second most photographed model, hope we can look forward to more............
Ted, a disappointment about the F3, but the the Panther was a good replacement......... How about an F3, in 'Haze' for next year?
John Sheehan, your Canberra's got a lot of attention, for good reason....
John, thank your son for his his RF 84 F.......
Mike, your Phantom 'Starize' gained a certain amount of attention...particularly the lovely blending of colours....We are all looking forward to next year, with all the possible prospects......
Luke, thank you so much for the appearance of the first 'armour' in the Recce SIG, much appreciated and admired. You may have started something......
Colin,
To you all, thank you!
GOD HELP ME IF I HAVE FORGOTTEN ANYONE, sorry it has been a long weekend, 800 miles, I am tired and the wine is going down so well.....I am going to bed.

hope you all arrived home safely, I really enjoyed meeting you all and hope to see you at avon next year? My purchases were quite restrained compared to previous years, I was too busy running between two displays. memo for next year- try to arrange to display on one table only. colin, you have now given me the insparation to try the viggen camo scheme, if only I can find the kit in my garage. I purchased a 1/32 scale italian type, so I,m going to try airbrushing the smoke ring camo, if that fails i,tll be in egytian markings. paul, it was a shame you could not make the show, the 262 was stunning.

Some excellent models on there - the RQ-4 was done really well (not exactly a 'throw together' kit !).
Cheers,
Haydn.

rd 49 - thanks for the comment - I WILL be there next year or whereever the next display is.
Just want to express my thanks and gratitude to Colin for organising the whole thing and a hearty congratulations to all that provided displays
Having seen some of the photos the quality was outstanding which urges me on to try and emulate you guys. I have potentially a few Recce projects lined up, all luftwaffe types and all will be available.
Here's to SMW 08
