Hello all!
Im a newbie to the site.
My name is Frazer North, 38, I live in the East Riding of Yorkshire, ex Army, Father ex RAF PRU / RIC. Spent years in Germany as a kid and am a keen modeller (although not up to the standard of some on here!!! Have recently started building again now that work commitments allow and have roped my two sons and my daughter in also!!
Favourite model to date is a 1/48 scale DH Mosquito. Worst to date a BIG airfix Bismark, sits in the box unfinished!!
Models to do in my pile are Tamiya 1/24 Kawasaki ZX12 R ninja ( my first bike build and my last!) Airfix 1/48 Canberra PR9 Airfix 1/24 Spitfire vb Airfix 1/24 Bf109 Revell 1/48 Phantom FGR-2 to name a few!!
I have mainly only ever built Airfix kits but fancy trying other manufacturers, done a couple of Revell and Tamiyas in the past . Any tips on spray painting welcome as this is something i would like to start doing, I have an airbrush but dont seem to get the right results!!
Looking forward to getting STUCK in !!

New to the site, so be gentle with me Name:Richard Linnell Age:51 Location:I live in what used to be a separate village (but is now part of) Northampton Job/work:I'm a Driver Instructor for First Capital Connect based at Bedford, running trains to Brighton and Sutton (Surrey) Modeling Preferances:Aircraft, my long term project is to model as many types that flew from the county during WWII in 1:72 Modeling dis-likes:Big scale cars Favorite model you have built:Tricky one this I do like Airfix Lancasters, I currently have 6 finished and have built numerous others (that went to the big scrapyard in the sky) And finally, Which model has given you the most grief:Most recently the 1:72 Pavla Miles Master A couple of years on and I finally took the plunge yesterday and joined the IPMS as MK Modelkraft ;D Reviewing my introduction, I'd say I don't have a favourite type (I'm quite an eclectic builder), I've overcome my modelling dislike and built a 1/24 car, and rather than any model, PE gives me the most problems

(stands up!) Name:My name is Simon Morris Age:Going on 66, Location:Presently live in Barry - Vale of Glamorgan Job/work:Used to work in IT in the ANZ Bank in Australia, after retiring thought we were owed a gap year or two and moved to the UK, my wife and I were born in Wales and Cornwall but left when we were young to live overseas - me to Africa and Joy to India, met in Nairobi married in Perth WA. As we said to the children when we moved we were joining the SKI club (spend the kids inheritance) - having a great time and at present working part-time for B&Q in an admin job. Modeling Preferences:Like W11 Armour. Modeling dis-likes:This is a double edged sword, my all time favorite are the Napoleonic wars, but at the same time I am rubbish at modeling the figures - a long time ago in Australia I stared in awe at some models done by a man called Bilby- who I thought at the time was awesome, and I have never been able to match his skills Favorite model you have built:None - have enjoyed them all at the time. And finally, Which model has given you the most grief:Gong back to what I said earlier, Historex figures, could never get the cross belts to look right. [/quote]

I guess i should write some infomation here:
Name: Oliver Holmes
Age: 22
Location: Shefford, Bedforshire.
Work: At the moment unemplyed and needing any sort of job. Im a qualified nursery nurse though.
Modelling preferances: 1:48th scale WWII sujects mostly but i do build in other scales and eras. Also build and game with Games Workshop models
Modelling dislikes: Painting eyes on Games Workshop models. Masking canopies.
Favourite model i have built: Ive realy enjoyed my Koster Aero Enterprises Dornier Do217
Least favourite: Strangely enough the Do217 from above. Its very much a love hate relationship with this model. I have enjoyed the high quality engineering of the kit and simplicity of the engineering but i am kicking myself for not strengthening the wings and tail planes. Also the undercarridge where a pain to assemble.

Hi Fellow Plastic-heads!! My Name is Tim Lowe and I'm 51 years old and I live in Reading Berkshire. Like most modellers I used to build Airfix 1/72 planes as a kid and then 1/35 AFVs when I was in my 20's. I haven't done much modelling since then and I'm back to the hobby with a vengeance, having already built up a stash of 40 odd 1/48 Aircraft of various types. I started out with the intention of building only RAF types, particularly those with some significance to me and my family but I've already been diverted to building a Russian Stormovik for my local clubs www.erisers.co.uk/homepage.aspx theme for SMW last year and now have a diverse range of subjects including US, German, Italian and Spanish Civil War as well as RAF. I've only started 5 and finished 3 since last summer but I'm ramping up this year with half a dozen committed builds for my club and Britmodeller Group Builds.

Hi, Here goes....
Name: Karl Browning
Age: just turned 45
Location: Havant nr Portsmouth (from London originally)
Work: Architectural CAD Technician
Modelling preferences: 72nd aircraft mainly WW2, US Navy jets & 35th scale tanks but i will do (try) anything! Buts thats all i can really do at moment as moved in with other half & got married last year and havent got the room. Plus money becoming more of an issue nowadays
Modelling dislikes: fidelly things, got large hands so cannot do the small stuff. I made my father in law the Dragon 700th scale HMS Sheffield (he served on in Falklands) but was a nightmare but got it complete hours before he arrived.
Favourite model i have built: 72nd T2 jaguar (rasp ripple); 72nd F4 Phantom (Jolly Rogers);
Least favourite: 72nd Gr.4 airfix decals awful & decals...decals..decals (so frustrating!)
Hope this Ok
Thanks Karl
