Like Andrew, I have been a member for a bit but never got round to introducing myself...
Real Name: Brian Mather
Age: 36
Location: Blackpool
Work: Accident investigator for Dept of Health
Modelling preferences: Trucks and buses - anything else is just a load
Modelling dislikes: Filling, sanding and the £$**£% carpet monster
Favourite model I have built: Normally the last one I have finished, in this case a DAF fire engine
Least favourite: A DAF artic converted to a camper. My first attempt at scratchbuilding and it shows!
Oh, and I really will get round to joining the IPMS before November.

Hi everyone Just been reading through all the intro ee's and realized (when i got to the end) that I have asked a question in the members forum but have not put anything in here! Doh! Name Andrew (Andy) Lawson Age 55 (56 in June) Location Sutton Coldfield Job Retired on health grounds - Heart and getting deafer Modeling Preferences Currently 1/35th Armour - Mainly German WWII - especially Sd.kfz 251 (trying to build ALL variants - hopefully wife doesn't really know how many variants of the same model are stashed in the loft/cupboard above bed /on modeling table) . Went through an aircraft phase and will no doubt return to build that stash. Modeling Dislikes My annoying habit of 3/4 building a model then starting another and then moaning to self -and anyone who happens to listen - about NOT completing a model! Favourite model built Most when finally finished -see above comment- but particularly liked my Famo and diorama Model given most grief Usually present construction -especially now I am getting into the realms of ETCH (Superglue UGH!!!)
Really like attending shows SMW and seeing other peoples efforts - Some are AMAZING - make me wish I could do that Doh I think I have put this in the wrong place! After thoughts about this have managed to put it in correct place ! A reply -continuation of thread - not a new entry

Andy, I must apologise for not welcoming you earlier, I usually scan all the threads, especially this one but on this occasion, I missed it.
So Dave, you're joining the IPMS in the near future, I've been a member for over 20 years and never regretted it.
Welcome to you both and I look forward to seeing you both post on the forum.
