Edit ...Helo Raphael, I've moved your posting here, hope you don't mind ... Nick. Hi everyone!, i'm new here and wanted to introduce myself. I'm not familiar with the threads as of the moment and i don't know if this is the right one to introduce myself. Anyway, my name is Raphael Val and i'm a long time member of the IPMS Philippines Bert Anido Chapter. Been here in England several times in the past but i have migrated here to be with my wife and would be staying here for good. I'm curently staying here in Hastings and trying to set up things i need for the hobby. England is a very nice place and one of my favorite place, though the weather is very cold as compared to my country, nevertheless i love it here! I'm into modern AFV subject and have started on modern aircraft, is it ok to post some of my work here? Where would it be posted? Is it in the thread or there is a seperate thread for finished subjects? Thanks guys! Edit ... Raphael, have a look through the various rooms here and you'll see that they're separated into subjects. You're more than welcome to post pictures of your models here, just pick the correct room for the subject you're interested in. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me: ipmsukwebmaster@btinternet.comNick.

Name: Don Junis
Age: 47 (At least I'm still younger than you Nick!!!!!)
Profession: Mechanical Project Designer (Power Plants)
Residence: Evergreen Park , Illinois, USA
Years in the Hobby: I remember building a 1/48 Me-109 from Monogram when it was out only a couple of years... need I say more.
Favorite Modeling Subject: Well this has actually changed recently due to recent history in the States and in the Gulf. I was partial to WWII Western front aircraft, especially the 109. But for a few years now I am mostly interested in post war subjects both 1/48 aircraft & 1/35 Armour. I don't have any specific preferences.
Modeling Irritations: People who take the hobby too seriously. Kits that don't fit. I design power plants with thousands of interfaces so how a company cannot get a few plastic parts to fit together really is annoying.
Modeling skill I would like to get better at: Painting faces on figures.
Best Modeling Experience: 2000 Scale Model World. It's been 8 years since I've been back. I'll be there this year to see some old friends.

Hi Ian, Yes it's been a while. As for where I'll be hanging out just find either Nick or Paddy. Between those two they'll know where I'm at. I would like to get together with as many folks as possible so let's at least plan on beer or something.
All the Best! Don

If you get the chance, come over to Cromford on the first Friday of the month and join the 'Derby & District' crowd at their base. Unfortunately it's custom that the new bloke buys the beer ... ;D ... next meeting is this Friday at the 'Bell', Cromford, if you're planning on attending, drop me an email or PM, meet me at my house which is in between your place and the A6 and I'll chauffeur you to the meeting.
